FAQ
- 01Getting started is easy. Step 1: Send me an email Reach out via email to hello@katenovytska.com (hello@katenovytska.com)with a short overview of your brand, goals, and the type of content you’re looking for. Step 2: Creative alignment We’ll set up a short call to talk through your needs, timelines, and expectations. From there, I’ll brainstorm the best creative direction for your project. Depending on the scope, this can include concepts, moodboards for photography and video, or storyboards for stop motion. Step 3: Proposal and production You’ll receive a tailored proposal outlining scope, timeline, and investment. Once everything is confirmed, I’ll lock in production and guide you through the process from planning to final delivery.
- 02It depends on the scope and services you’re looking for. In general, I recommend booking at least three weeks in advance to allow time for planning, creative development, and production. If you have a shorter timeline, feel free to reach out and I’ll let you know if it’s possible to accommodate.
- 03To get started, a signed contract and a 50% deposit are required before any work begins. Once the project is completed, the remaining 50% balance will be invoiced. If any additional services are requested outside the original scope, these will be invoiced separately. All final, high-resolution files are delivered after the final payment has been received.
- 04Timelines depend on the scope of the project and the services involved. As a general guideline, most projects take 2–4 weeks from kickoff to final delivery. This includes creative development, planning, production, and post-production. If you’re working toward a specific launch or deadline, let me know early on and I’ll do my best to align the timeline accordingly.
- 05Yes, sometimes 🙂 From time to time, I offer special rates, for example when a shoot slot opens up due to a cancellation or around special occasions. The easiest way to stay in the loop is to follow me on Instagram. You’ll also get better value when booking a content package instead of single services. And for brands working with me on a retainer basis, I always reserve my best rates as part of a monthly or quarterly collaboration. Feel free to reach out and we can chat about what setup makes the most sense for your project.
- 06Yes, revisions are absolutely possible. For stop motion and photography projects, revisions can be made during post-production, such as editing, color adjustments, or timing refinements, depending on the agreed scope. Because stop motion and photography are carefully planned and produced on set, reshoots are not included and would be treated as a separate project. The only exception is if a reshoot is required due to a mistake on my side, in which case it will of course be handled at no additional cost. I’ll always make sure we align clearly upfront so revisions are minimal and the production runs smoothly.
- 07I focus on commercial stop motion created specifically for brands and advertising campaigns. Stop motion is still perceived as something unusual and almost magical by audiences. Because it’s clearly handcrafted and different from typical digital content, it naturally catches the eye and stops the scroll. When executed by a professional with the right experience and advertising know-how, stop motion becomes more than just a beautiful visual. It’s a powerful storytelling tool that’s designed to work within campaigns, support marketing goals, and perform across ads and social channels.
- 08Yes, I take care of sourcing and setting up props for your shoot. In my studio, I have a curated selection of backdrops and surfaces, including vinyl and paper backgrounds. If a project requires special props, custom-colored backdrops, ingredients, or other specific elements, any additional costs will be added to the invoice and always discussed upfront. For projects that involve custom-made props, such as paper elements for stop motion, the cost of materials and additional production time will be added accordingly. If you already have specific props or products you’d like to include, you’re very welcome to send them over. I’m happy to incorporate your own materials to make the visuals feel even more personal and on-brand.
- 09If you’d like your products returned after the shoot, just let me know in advance and I’ll take care of it. The cost of shipping will be added to the final invoice.
- 10Usage rights are always discussed and agreed upon upfront as part of the project scope. By default, usage typically covers organic and paid use across agreed channels such as social media, ads, and web. The exact duration, platforms, and territories are defined in the contract to make sure everything is clear and aligned with your needs. If you require extended or additional usage, this can always be discussed and added accordingly.
